Islam and Muslims, Jewish state, and Islamic state

There is a major difference between Islam and Muslims since one refers to an ideological perspective while the other tells of social definition of a group of people happen to share the same ideology.

The researcher must learn the difference in order to understand that Islam (as a religion)may not be given the perspective of a "state". It is a very individual belief related to one's cult same as most religions are. It shall not be given the attributes of a "state", "Kingdom", "Caliphate", or any other shape of regime, even if most of elements of culture refer to an Islamic theme.

In this regard, I would like to point that Islam had not been prevailed by the power of sword, as claimed. However, "Muslims" made wars with other cultures claiming they are missionaries for Islam, while the fact is that Islam does not tell to fight unless there is a danger on the Muslim community- "there shall be no coercion in religion, right is distinguished from wrong", Al Baqra, verse 256. Therefore, from a historical view, the title "Islamic state" deeming Islam as a rule and prevailed by sword started by Muawiya ibn Abi Sufyan and the state of the Umayyad. There is a lot to say in such point, yet it can be easily found in history books.

Most Quran and Islam interpreters tend to explain Quran not putting too much consideration on sociology and philosophy. It might be because there was a time when philosophy was made prohibited by Muslim Kings, you know why they would do that :) same as church did.

I would like to note as well that titles such as "Islamic state" or "Jewish State" are totally opposing to the concept of "State" be it modern or ancient, whereas "state" shall refer to a them of governance which has specific characteristics different from the individual perspectives that may include religion. If we are to call such phenomena as "state", one might say "the Muslim state" or "the state of Jews" (but not Jewish people- there is a difference off course). Above all, such titles or multi-term constructions are totally racist and discriminatory.

Allow me to quote from Islam and Christianity:

"There shall be no coercion in religion" (from Quran)

"Be loyal for those who trust you, and you shall not betray even if you encountered betrayal" (from Hadeeth)

"You may not achieve belief unless you love for others same as you love for yourselves" (from Hadeeth)

"Said (the Pharaoh), who is your Lord, Musa. Musa said: our Lord is the one made everything and splint it well organized then made us thinkers" (from Quran)

"Blessed be the merciful for they will grant mercy" (from the Bible)

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven" (from the Bible)

أقدام نظيفة بالوحل

فِيْ اِلشَّاْمِ أَنَاْ وَأَنْتْ..

مَطْرُوْدِيْنَ مِنَ اَلْحَقْلِ وَمِنْ نَيْاْشِيْنِ اَلْفَخْرِ اَلزَّاْئِفِ

فِيْ الشَّاْمِ نَحْنُ

كَفَلْقَاِتِ اَلصَّنَوْبَرِ، فِيْ شَهْرِ نَيْسَاْنْ!

نَبْكِيْ جُثَثَاً تَسْقُطُ مِنِّاْ كَاَلْمَسَاّجِيِنِ

وَتَقُرُضُنَاْ اَلْجُرْذَاْنُ بَعْدَ اَلْمَجْهُوْلِ

نَهْذِيْ بِهَرْطَقَاْتٍ، جَرَّاْءَ مَضْغُ اَلْوُحُوْشِ لِلَحْمِنَاْ

اَلْمُتَنَاْثِرِ عَلَىْ بَوَّاْبِاْتِ اَلْمَعَاْبِرِ

تَشَوَّهْنَاْ عَلَىْ لَوْحَاْتِ اَلْاِنْتِدَاْبِ

وَدُفِنَّاْ فِيْ تِشْرِيْنَ بِأَحْلَاْمِنَاْ

وَأُمَّهَاَتِنَاْ، وَاَلْأَجْدَاْدِ

نَرْفَعُ اَلرَّأْسَ لِلنَّجْمِ عَلَىْ رَأْسِ اَلْمَسِيِحِ

وَنَهْرُبُ مِنْ اَلْمُعَلِّمِ، بَيْنَ أَزِقَّةِ اَلْمُخَيَّمِ

نُشْعِلُ عَجَلَاْتِ اَلسَّيَاْرَاْتِ فِيْ اَلْمَيَاْدِيْنِ

أَوْ تُشْعِلُنَاْ

حَتَّىْ تَأْتِيْنَاْ مَاْفْيَاْ اَلسَّلَاْمِ..

أَنْتَ وَأَنَاْ اَلْوَلَدُ اَلصَّاْمِتُ، رَاْحَ أَبُوْهُ ضَحِيَّةَ اَلْقُبْلَةِ

وَأُمَّهُ نَهَشَتْهَاْ اَلْكِلَاْبُ وَمَزَّقَتْ جَسَدَهَاْ اَلزُّهُوْرُ

زُهُوْرٌ تَفْلِقُ اَلْمَسْتُوْرَ وَالْعَاْرِيَ!

دَعْنَاْ لَاْ نَنْظُرُ لِلشَّمْسِ، وَلِنَزْرَعْ اَلزَّعْتَرَ

لِنَصْمِتْ سَوِيَّاً، وَلِنَسْكُنْ فِيْ عَيْنِ ذَاْكَ اَلْوَلَدِ

اَلَّتِيْ تَرَىْ اَلْمَسَاْجِدَ كَالْمَلَاْهِيْ اَلْلَّيْلِيِةِ،

لِتَسْقُطْ كَمَاْ سَقَطَتْ اَلْكَنِيْسَةُ،

وَلِنَبْكِ قَلِيْلَاً وَلِنَنَمْ على فَرْشَاْتِ اَلْأَنُرْوَاْ

هَذَاْ اَلْعَاْلَمُ لَاْ يَلِيْقُ بِيَ وَلَاْ بِكَ

صَاْرَ اَلْحُبُّ كَفُوَّهَةِ اَلْبُنْدُقِيَّةِ

تُطْلِقُ رَصَاْصَاً مُهْتَرِئَاً، إِنْ أَطْلَقَ لَاْ يَرْجِعُ،،

يَخْرِقُ اَلزَّمَنَ، وَيُشَرْشِحُ اَلشِّفَاْهَ

يَتَحَدَّىْ اَلْبَرْدَ اَلْقَاْرِسَ فِيْ شَوَاْرِعَ غَزَّةَ

بَعْدَ حَصَاْدِ اَلْأَرْوَاْحَ اَلسَّنَوِيِّ

نَتَكَرْكَبُ كَالْعُرَاْةِ يَوْمَ اَلْبَعْثِ

نَتَقَوْقَعُ تَحْتَ ظِلِّ اَلذِّكْرَيَاْتِ

لَاْ يَرْحَمَنَاْ تَمُّوْزُ

يَاْ اِبْنَ اَلشَّاْمِ

لِنُغْمِضْ أَعْيُنَنَاْ

وَلِنَفْتَحَ اَلْقُلُوْبَ أَنَاْ وَأَنْتَ

صَاْرَ اَلْحُبُّ كَأَوْرَاْقِ اَلزَّيْتُوْنِ،

تَعُضُّ بَعْضَهَاْ بَعْضَاً

وَتَأْتِيْ بِدَوْلَتَيْنِ اِثْنَتَيْنِ..

لَيْسَ أَنَاْ وَلَاْ أَنْتَ وَلَاْ هُمْ..

لَسْنَاْ كَهُمُوْمِ اَلْأُمَّهَاْتِ مَكْشُوْفَاْتِ اَلرَّأْسِ

وَلَاْ نَأْكُلُ اِلسَّمَكَ وَالْبَطَاْطِسْ فِيْ بَاْرِيْسَ...

فِيْ الشَّاْمِ نَحْنُ

نَحْفِرُ اَلصَّخْرَ بَأَظَاْفِرِ اَلْحِقْدِ اَلْأَسْوَدِ

نَحْمِلُ اَلْحُبَّ فَأَسَاً زَاَنِيَاً

نُقَلِّبُ اَلْأَرْضَ كَأَنَّنَاْ نَحْرُثُ اَلْمَجَرَّةَ

مَنْقُوْصِيْ اَلشَّطْرِ مَجْزُوْئِيْ اَلْبَيْتِ

وَنَهْتِفُ- يَاْ لِسَذَاْجَتِنَاْ-  "تَحْيَاْ فِلَسَطِيْنُ عَرَبِيَّةً حُرَّة"!
