Members of the Social Media Club- Palestine have gathered today at Gaza beach to send roses to the souls of the three Muslim victims who were murdered by Craig Stephen Hicks in the name of terrorism in University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The members stood carrying roses and waving them to the sea as an iconic message from the Mediterranean (Gaza) to the Atlantic (Carolina).

“We are standing here today to tell the world that terrorism has no religion and of no place. We have been suffering from terrorism in Gaza for many years and we don’t want the world to live it. Those roses are to the souls of Dia Barakat, his wife Yusor Abu Salha and her sister Razan,” said Nael Khader, the Secretary of the Social Media Club Palestine.

“In Palestine, we stand for freedom and anti-terrorism and we are conveying a message to the whole world to neglect terrorism whatever is. We are not addressing to leaders only, but all people in the world to be fair in describing the victims of Chapel Hill Shooting and to stand against such crimes,” continues Khader.

Roses were not the only means used to send the message, the activity participators raised many slogans such as verses from Quran: “There shall be no coercion in religion” and other slogans like “From the Mediterranean to the Atlantic, to the souls of the murdered in the name of terrorism. #ChapelHillShooting”

“The Social Media Club- Palestine has participated in the world twitter trend #ChapelHillShooting and now we are protesting against the ugly murder by the simplest ways regarding the conditions in Gaza. Palestine sends peace instead of terrorism,” said the head of SMCPAL, Ali Bkheet.

Social Media Club Palestine is an independent group of activists and social media bloggers who blog and tweet for many concerns regarding the Palestinian society.
